The Phantom Street Artist

"ART SAVES LIVES" 1993. Spraypaint on wall.

A human silhouette brought to life by a single black line of spray paint. A clever slogan written within. Instantly, you recognize the style. The Phantom Street Artist has struck again.

Rising to prominence on the streets of Los Angeles in the 80’s, The Phantom Street Artist made his mark on the world in the 90’s by designing the cover art for Rage Against The Machine‘s epic album, “The Battle Of Los Angeles”. In 2010, The Phantom Street Artist chose MORELWORKS Fine Art Publishing to produce his first-ever fine art print.

MORELWORKS preserved the artistic legacy of The Phantom Street Artist by releasing a limited-edition print based on his seminal piece “ART SAVES LIVES” formerly located near La Brea and Melrose in Los Angeles. Utilizing a picture taken in 1993, MORELWORKS worked with Master Printer Richard Duardo and his staff at Modern Multiples to create the definitive reproduction of an early Los Angeles street art masterpiece.
